Can’t believe it.. We booked Paris for February 2023!!
This is one of those the price was perfect, and we bit the bullet and hit purchase things. I am counting down the weeks till we travel and annoying Love while I am at it.
This is a Bucket List trip for me and his 4th visit, so it will be well balanced. I say well balanced because my first-time eyes have no specific out of this world expectations for this trip and he’s got enough experience there to make sure we don’t miss the great museums. This trip though all started thanks to my trip ADHD/Cabin Fever and Delta Vacations!
Thanks to a lot of things including my Corp day job, I get Delta promotional emails and one of those emails was Delta Vacations packages. Now I had been looking at Paris before but the cost for two tickets plus hotel was over $4,000.. Ouch!! We aren’t splurge hotel people, but we also aren’t hostel backwoods-an-hour-into-town people either. Well, I was bored and decided to see what Delta had to offer me and found the perfect package for $3,000!!
My $3,000 package includes Delta Comfort+ seats and a 4 Star Hotel not far from the Arc de Triomphe transit center.. And travel insurance because I am a cautious person. How could I not go to Love with this steal of a deal?!?
Now in comparison shopping to make sure I couldn’t beat this deal, I checked all the Go To Places. I checked Costco Travel, Expedia, employer discount sites, everywhere! I even priced it out individually across these places and I could not beat this price! It was time to talk to Love.
Over tapas and drinks at home, this time last time it was at a bar.. Lol.., I presented my findings and pointed out that my dates included his birthday… a birthday in Paris… Yes please!.. Anyways.. After several minutes of him thinking and looking at me and the time line.. He said book it.. so I booked Paris the next day! He hates booking or planning things more than a few days out due to bad history and I can’t stand last minute large bookings as I miss all the savings and get stuck with last minute choices…
Anyways.. Now onto the packing lists, shopping, ideas drafting and looking at how best to see as much of the city of Paris in 6 days! So excited!!
